Its easy to sit behind a computer and judge. And write. And say something unpleasant. The truth is Mario created one of the most beautiful looks of our time. He did with this old school techniques combined with this innate talent and skill at blending. He is a true artist. He skill are akin to Way Bandy, Kevyn Aucoin, the true artists that saw how to sculpt a face. What happening (guilty myself) is we copied him. But without his skill set. And it changed along the way. We changed it along the way but still claiming it as ‘Kim Kardashian makeup’ or ‘Kim Kardashian inspired makeup’. Because we lack the same skill (blending, years of expertise etc…) the looks we recreated were heavy. Really heavy. They were unblended. Visible lines of contour and highlight. Extra thick foundation. Even heavier concealer. Over powdering on top of all the above … and BOOM - Instgram makeup was born. The world world took notice. And they blamed her for the movement. Regardless of weather you like, dislike, admire or just sit on the side lines watching, her makeup is always flawless. She is the face of a generation. And the man behind that face is a genius. So lets open up a discussion, honestly. Respectfully. Without being ugly. Like Way Bandy in the 80s, Kevyn Auction in the 90s and early 2000s, and now Mario. They changed the way women view makeup.
